L'Osteria Amberg in Amberg

At the moment, because of Corona, you can only pick up or have it delivered ... everything is well organized, the ordered food is usually ready in ten minutes and tastes wonderful ...

Nice ambience, delicious food and great service!

Tried to order something online. Unfortunately, this was not possible for me on the website. Then I tried to place an order over the phone. Unfortunately I was told on the phone that deliveries can only be ordered online. The hint that this does not work was simply dismissed with the fact that I should use a different browser ... => So no order: o ( So I assume that this restaurant cannot have any financial problems with Corona ...

Problems with online orders, especially with discount vouchers. Solution by staff. Pizzas were very good, large and plenty of toppings. Gladly again.

I ordered online and everything went perfectly, you could easily choose your pizzas and even select extra wishes. The order was ready exactly at my specified time. Will definitely order online again!

Delivery has instead of 95 min. Instead of 70 min. lasted. The noodles were extremely peppery, dreadful taste. The pizzas were ok. But the price-performance ratio is rather bad.

The ambience is super nice. Food hit our taste, even with repeated visits. Unfortunately, we only noticed again and again that the service is overwhelmed here, on the one hand the ladies come way too often to ask whether everything fits, which is generally not a problem only if you get the same question every 2 minutes and that from always other service staff is annoying at some point. And the nice thing is, despite the overly attentive service, something is always forgotten to bring ... And unfortunately that is not a single experience, we were there 5 times and again and again something was forgotten, even on request it was not brought, for example. A water .. had asked here 3.x and when we finished eating we still didn't have it

The waitresses were very friendly. Eating took a while, although there was not much going on but okay ? Food was quite good.

Hygiene hut friendly staff. Food good, prices okay. Everything fits. To recommend.

So now I have to let out my frustration. I ordered something to pick up from the Losteria today and was just completely disappointed. I was told you could pick up the food at 8:15 p.m., I usually come a little earlier and was there at 8:05 p.m. where you could already see that the food was ready, but I didn't get the food until 8:20 p.m. Conclusion at home, Pizzas were barely occupied and they were also freezing cold. Likewise, the greatest cheek was the dumplings ordered, which on the one hand were a thousand times too expensive and the main course was far too little. A callback was also made where I tried to express a criticism where the answer was first a queue and then a person who only gave excuses and did not respond to this criticism. In the end, I ended the conversation promptly because I just noticed that talking doesn't work and that excuses were only sought. I will definitely not visit this shop again and never order anything again. Thanks for nothing ?

Some of the food was good but a pizza was badly burned in some places and no goodwill was offered on the grounds that we had mentioned it too late. Actually a pretty good place, but to bring something like that is just fine. Too bad. Edit: Sorry but this justification is just ridiculous. The burned areas were NOT eaten and the waitress was told when collecting the plate. It makes no difference whether you eat half or whole or not at all. Burned remains burned. A free coffee or something like that would at least have been helpful and costs you almost nothing. Sorry but as I said, just a joke.

My stay was good, I ordered a ham and cheese pizza. The only negative point (but there was still something going on on site) that I had to wait three quarters of an hour there. But the pizza tasted very good and was oversized, so it went out of the box! Looked good, tasted good and the waitress was a real love too! ????

If you want bad service, you can go out to eat at La osteria in Amberg. Pure disappointment with the service of the staff I would NEVER recommend something like that again. According to the employee, his answer was: "The main thing is that I get my wages at the end of the month" I really messed up our day. If you want to celebrate your birthday there, let it be. If you order the table you want for 10 people, you won't get it. You sit close to each other somewhere at the end of the door where not even 10 people can fit in with the food. And no apologies mentioned. We left the store immediately. So this is how you deal with customers?

Another successful meal and service from one of my favorite places in town.

Food and atmosphere was nice. Minus a star due to being close to closing all the employees were chain smoking next to our table and getting their drink on. The hostess refused to reseat us and had a bit of an attitude. Our final hostess was much more hospitable though. It is easier to get the food to go and enjoy the rest of the scenery.

This has been one of our favorite spots to eat in Amberg since we've lived in Germany. The pizza is excellent, the staff is very nice, the prices a reasonable and the place looks great. It's always nice to get dinner and then go for a walk along the riverside.

Unfortunately, I have to give this restaurant a 1star because my husband and I DID NOT receive our meals this evening. We arrived at our reserved time, we were greeted, and seated. The waiter approached our table to take our order for drinks and when the waiter came back the second time we ordered an appetizer, Kinder meal, and 2 main courses. The appetizer and Kinder meal Arrived about 15 minutes later. After an hour later of waiting for our meals, we noticed the family who came at the same time had been served their meals, ate and were packing to leave on the bikes. There were also an older couple to the left of us whos order was taken after ours and they had been served their meals, ate and ordered dessert. I stopped a waiter and inquired about our main courses and were informed our waiter never placed the entire order.

The ambient is great but a bit to loud. Just dont get why stuff aren't dressed a bit nicer working in a place like that. Food is okay

2-stars = not coming back. They pack in tons of people guests and servers constantly bumped into my wife and me. It’s so noisy we had to practically shout. The service was slow and the pizza average at best.

Italian restaurant in the center of Amberg, large and spacious with the possibility of eating out. Large kitchen with Italian choices, and live kitchen so you can see the chefs preparing your choices. Attentive and kind staff in particular a waitress named Stefany, service quite fast. If you order the pizzas be prepared because, they are literally huge !!!! Value for money in the norm. Recommended if you pass by these parts.

Absolutely dream, we had not made reservations, nevertheless we immediately got a table. Service was attentive, quick and friendly. Stefanie was the dream waitress, if I had a restaurant I would hire you. Pizza was delicious and dessert too, too bad to finish the espresso was burned. I will definitely come again.

L'Osteria is an Italian restaurant chain and the Amberg location is one of the best quality L'Osterias that we've seen. It does well at creating interesting specials and menu items to make it more than just a standard "trattoria/ristorante". The food is good quality and the atmosphere is enjoyable (occasionally can get very crowded), making it well suited for a sit down with a whole group or just you and your partner. The option to take away is a bonus. Cons: The service is inconsistent. If you come with a large group and/or a complex order, then be prepared for some confusion. It seems to be a chain policy to never write down the order and that can lead to some friction. Overall the food and drinks are great and the staff is typically smiling and polite. Worth it and well priced.

Went here Sunday night for my friends birthday dinner and it was the best pizza I have ever had.

Service was good, hence the one star. However, the food was average at best. The calamari rissoto had frozen calamari still in it. The pizza was good and fresh, but the pineapples tasted like they were probably canned. Drinks were pricey and the Cherry Lemonade tasted watered down and nothing like lemonade. There was also Spanish music playing (I speak Spanish and recognized it immediately) and I don't think I ever heard any Italian music once. I found this a bit odd. I had high hopes, but was unfortunately let down.

Delicius Italian dishes

They have an english menu option for tourists. Cant say how much this is appreciated. Food and service was great. Modern restaurant with nice bar area.

I cannot wait to eat here again. Food was good. They had Vegetarian options which was a plus. The atmosphere was buzzing with laughter and life. I think this is my new favourite place to eat.

Big pizza's

Awesome laid back Italian restaurant next to the wooden bridge that leads you into the central shopping area. They are known for their large personal pizzas...big enough for two or a starving individual. Most of the staff speaks English and a few speak/understand Italian. If you plan on eating here in the evening and or weekends, it is recommended that you book a table in advance.
